Joseph G. Merydith is a current Government Forensic Document Examiner, as well as a co-proprietor of Integrated Forensic Services, LLC.

Joseph Merydith is a Diplomate of the American Board of Forensic Document Examiners (ABFDE). As part of the requirement in order to become certified by the ABFDE, Mr. Merydith undertook a rigorous and comprehensive two year, full time, on-the-job training program in which he was under the supervision of five examiners with the combined experience of 150 years. Mr. Merydith also holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Strategic Management. He is a Board Member and an Active Member of the Southwestern Association of Forensic Document Examiners (SWAFDE), as well as a member of the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM). As a member of these organizations and as a professional, Mr. Merydith continues to learn about new aspects of document examination.

As an examiner of questioned documents for almost 10 years, Joseph Merydith has examined a multitude of items in an attempt to determine authorship and authenticity. Some of these examinations have included handwriting and signature comparisons, examinations of alterations and obliterations, typewriter examinations, computer generated document examinations, medical mal-practice examinations, examinations involving ink differentiation, and indented writing examinations.

Joseph Merydith has examined and rendered opinions on over one thousand cases and has testified in Superior and Federal Courts, as well as administrative and school board hearings in 13 counties in the State of California. He has also worked cases in the States of Nevada and Idaho.

Mr. Merydith has taught classes regarding Forensic Document Examination at the University of New Haven-extension and continues to teach as an instructor for the Advanced Training Center (ATC) for the California Department of Justice.
